Final Thoughts on Star Wars Episode V

To day in class we finished watching the last 20 minutes of the movie. me personally i am not a big star wars fan, i jest watched some of the movies and i know about them. my final thoughts are that this was a good movie for its time and it was entertaining. What i noticed in the was that know that we know that Vader is Skywalkers father, it seemed to have changed the mood of the movie. It showed Vader's not being as violent or aggressive as we know him. For example every time one of his commanders failed him or disappointed him his response was killing them, or choking them. At the end Vader offered Luke to join him and work together as father and son. they were communicating telepathically, and Vader trying to convince Luke that this is his destiny and he should join him. I think that now, because this was such a big surprise for Luke that it will change his views. Some of the other themes that were discussed in class were student and teacher, good vs. evil, family connection with in the movie it self, how are emotions are being presented in this movie which is a Si-Fi and how emotions are not really suppose to be shown, through robots, and the Jedi's.
